On July 8, 2025, a high-level delegation led by Professor Haluk Görgün, Secretary of the Turkish Defense Industry Agency, paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Air Staff of the Bangladesh Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, BBP, OSP, GUP, ndc, psc.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged greetings and discussed various aspects of strengthening military cooperation between the two countries, including technical assistance and technology transfer in the defense sector.

His Excellency Ramis Sen, the Ambassador of Turkey to Bangladesh, was also present during the meeting.

This visit by the Turkish Defense Industry delegation is being seen as a significant milestone in bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Turkey. Both parties expressed optimism that the visit would further expand the areas of mutual cooperation and strengthen the existing friendly ties between the two nations.
